This year the Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Championship was really fruitful for our IUB students. Our Department of Computer Science and Engineering student Sharmin Islam Sroddha alone brought 3 gold medals for IUB, which was a proud moment for Independent University, Bangladesh.
This glorifying gem of Independent University, Bangladesh won her first gold in Table Tennis (Mixed Doubles) with her co-athlete Md. Rifat Mahmud Sabbir. She clinched her second gold medal in Table Tennis (Women’s Doubles) with her co-athlete Rosa Mahmud Taran. And finally, she achieved her third gold medal in Table Tennis (Women’s Singles).
This excelling Table Tennis player Sharmin Islam Sroddha started her Table Tennis journey after coming into IUB. She started learning Table Tennis in her first year days. She was an amazing learner and gave her complete effort in practicing Table Tennis. The result of which we are watching now through her heart-winning performances.
